What is changing, and where agents pay off.
Norway is an EEA member, so the EU AI Act does not apply until it is incorporated into the EEA Agreement. That process is still under way: the government consulted on a Norwegian AI Act (KI-loven) in 2025, proposed Nkom as coordinating supervisory authority, and now aims to put a bill before the Storting in 2027. In the meantime Datatilsynet’s regulatory sandbox and the National Digitalisation Strategy 2024-2030 set the direction. We build to the coming rules now.

Does the EU AI Act apply in Norway?
Not yet. Norway is in the EEA, and the Act only applies once it is incorporated into the EEA Agreement and passed into Norwegian law through the proposed KI-loven. It will apply sooner to Norwegian systems sold into the EU. We design to the Act now so nothing needs rebuilding later.
Can our data stay in Norway?
Yes. We deploy inside your own cloud account in an Oslo region, or an EU region if you prefer, and choose model providers with European data residency that do not train on your data. A data processing agreement under the Personal Data Act is signed before scoping, in line with Datatilsynet’s guidance.
Do your agents work in Norwegian?
Yes. We build and test in Bokmål and English, and can handle Nynorsk where your users need it. Norwegian speakers on your team review outputs before launch, and evaluation sets are kept per language so quality is measured, not assumed.
